PHOTO: League Champions Liberec start season strongly

Liberec triumphed in their first game of the season against Příbram while Sparta drew with Dukla.

Liberec opened their season with a convincing 4:0 victory over Příbram while Sparta could only manage a 1:1 draw with Dukla in the local derby. Newcomers to the League Brno got their season off to a good start as they beat Slovácko 1:0.

Liberec dominated in their opening game with Příbram with Štajner opening the scoring in 40th minute from the penalty spot. An own goal from Hájovský made it 2:0 early in the second-half with Vácha and Fleišman adding two more goals later in the second-half.

Dukla Praha surprised rivals Sparta by taking the lead thirty minutes into the game through a penalty from Hašek. Sparta had to wait until four minutes into injury time for a equaliser from striker Kweuke.

Newcomers to the League Brno notched up a 1:0 victory against rivals Slovácko with the only goal of the game coming in 5th minute through Pernica.

České Budějovice ran out 1:0 winners against Olomouc, the winning goal coming in 64th minute from a penalty from Otepka.
