PHOTO: Sparta victory keeps them on top while Liberec draw

In 4th round of the Gambrinus League, Sparta comfortably beat Budějovice while Liberec could only manage a draw with newcomers Jihlava.

In their match against Liberec, League newcomers Jihlava found themselves 1:0 up after only ten minutes thanks to a goal from Jungr. Liberec had to wait until four minutes into injury time for the equaliser from Šural.

Brno lost their first match of the season 4:1 at home to Jablonec. Brno suffered from defensive errors which were exploited by Jablonec with goals from Eliáš, Vaněk, Lafata, and 84. Čížek. Fall managed to pull one back for Brno but it was not enough to stop Jablonec from walking away with three points.

Sparta won their third match in a row, defeating České Budějovice 3:1 at Letna. Fans were banned from the stadium as a disciplinary punishment for a disturbance last year. Kadlec opened the scoring for Sparta midway through the first-half but Budějovice struck back a short time later with a goal from Markovič. A goal from Kweuke immediately after the start of the second-half and from Kadeřábek two minutes from the end sealed victory for Sparta and keeps them at the top of the table.

Plzeň atoned for their loss at Brno last weekend with a 3:1 victory over Ostrava. Plzeň were dominant throughout the match, leadin 2:0 at half-time thanks to goals from Ševinský and Horváth. They added a third ten minutes into the second-half through Hanousek before Ostrava pulled one back in 73rd minute through Onuchukwu.

Příbram are still looking for their first win of the season after drawing 0:0 with Teplice. The result leaves Příbram second from bottom in the League.

Hradec Králové drew for the third time this season with a 1:1 draw against Olomouc. Vepřek opened the scoring for Olomouc from a direct free kick in 21st minute but Šisler grabbed the equaliser for Hradec ten minutes before the break. Olomouc are now unbeaten at home in their last seven Matjes.
