Baroš resumes training

Czech striker Milan Baroš has resumed training with Galatasaray after recovering from his achilles injury.

He could be on the subsitutes bench for Galatasaray's opening match of the season against Sivasspor and in two weeks may be fit enough to play a full game. In an interview for the club's television, the striker said, ''I'm happy now. I have been training for the last two days with the team. I still have a lot of work to do, but by the end of the week I could be ready to sit on the substitutes bench and in two weeks be ready to play a full game.

The good news was also conveyed to Czech coach Michal Bílek and means that the striker could play in the Czech Republic's qualification match against Lithuania.
